Natchaug Conservation Action Planning (CAP)

A conservation planning effort is now underway for the Natchaug Basin, which is comprised primarily of the Naubesatuck Watershed. The Natchaug Basin also includes the land that drains to the Natchaug River in Windham/Willimantic south of the Willimantic Water Works Reservoir.

Patagonia Funds NWC

The Patagonia Store in Westport, CT, an outdoor clothing and gear retailer, has provided a $1500 grant to NWC to fund conservation planning in our watershed. This project is underway in conjunction with The Nature Conservancy, Green Valley Institute, and WINCOG, among others. Planning workshops will be held with the major stakeholders in the watershed to identify shared conservation goals and barriers, and create an action plan for implementation of priority conservation goals.
